Almost Known As

Almost Known As is a Canadian instrumental jazz quartet located in Ottawa, Ontario. Formed in February 2016 the band plays both originals and covers in classic, fusion and latin jazz styles. Though the band members all have a technology background, it is through various musical theatre productions they all met. While they discovered they enjoy playing many styles of music and have performed collectively in dozens of musical theatre productions, it is their shared passion for jazz that has shaped the sound of Almost Known As.

 

The band especially enjoys taking non-jazz tunes and reimagining them in a jazz influenced style but with their vast varied musical experience they can play virtually any song in any style.
